Library Cadet Monthly Workshop, Bahamas Library Service
The Library Cadets and Information Literacy Club meets monthly (the last Friday in every month) from September - June at the National Library and Information Services Administration Office and INFOREF Centre, College Avenue. Thorughout the year and in particular July and August Cadets volunteer at public libraries throughout The Bahamas
Public and private high schools in New Providence , Grand Bahama , and Exuma are actively participating in the cadet programmes. It is envisioned that new recruits from other islands of The Bahamas would be active participants this upcoming school year. We are pleased to announce that at the close of the past school year, Queen's College High School was the recipient of the Library Cadet floating trophy.
